Three-aisled pseudo-basilica with five-sided closed choir from the 15th century with a tower of which the lower four sections are still 12th century. Internal wooden barrel vaults. Replaced an older church. Beautiful tuff stone tower (ca. 1200) of the Reformed Church, raised with a brick floor in the Gothic period.

The church of Rijswijk is mentioned in 1369 when Willem VI van Horne, Lord of Altena, gives goods in fief to Vastraet van Giessen, including the ferry of Andel that lies between "Veenregraven" and the church of Rijswijk. From the church visitations of Bishop Metsius it can be concluded that the church is dedicated to St. Stephanus. Historians estimate this church to be very old. During research and excavations, the foundations of a tuff stone hall church from around 1100 were exposed, with a tower on the west side. This old church must have been badly damaged by the many floods of the Maas in the middle of the 13th century. The restoration will have taken place around 1265, after the church hill was first raised considerably. The battle against the water appears to be an eternal one for the church. After repairs were made with great difficulty in the 16th century, the old church succumbed during the flood of 1809. The church was demolished down to its tuff foundation. Much later, a new church was built on the same site, of which the following was written in the middle of the 19th century: "The church stands outside the dike in the Rotgans. It is old and not very large and has a long tower, flat-roofed on top, but is not equipped with an organ. The choir has completely collapsed, except for a few pieces of dilapidated masonry."

Reformed Church. Still entirely Romanesque brick church with four-sided choir closure, the masonry of which is provided with lesenes, round arch frieze and a dentil moulding. Few built-in somewhat older also brick saddle roof tower. The east wall of the tower may originally have belonged to a mid-12th century westwork. The current appearance of the tower and nave dates back to the end of the 12th century. In the 13th century the choir was built. The pointed arch windows were installed in the 16th century. Internally a barrel vault from 1604. The nave has a wainscoting of purple (flamed) tiles; rococo pulpit with rear bulkhead and hood, mid-18th century with carvings on the tub, baptismal fence with candle holder, lord's pew with carved back piece from 1775; two 17th century and three 18th century gravestones inside, in the churchyard five 18th century and one from 1618. Bell frame with the sound of two bells, one by Gert, 1477, diam. 110 cm. and one by P. Overney, 1686, diam. 109 cm. Mechanical tower clock B. Eijsbouts, Asten, 1916, no. 559, later fitted with a synchronous motor.

Hall church with roof turret in traditionalist forms, built in 1950 to a design by the architects Chr. Nielsen and JHC Spruit from Amsterdam to replace a medieval church that was largely destroyed in 1944. The gables are open-worked as windows. Internally visible roofing. Some mourning boards have been preserved from the old inventory, as well as the Adema organ from 1877.

New church, the old church was destroyed by war. The historic tower was preserved. Oak pulpit, second quarter 17th century with copper lectern and baptismal font arm; a 17th century chandelier and several 17th century tombstones.

Reformed Church. With its west side on the Zeilvaart on a mound, an early 13th century church building with a tower from the 16th century. Inside, behind the pulpit, a large 17th century epitaph; carved gravestone 1626. Single-manual organ, with Louis XVI case by organ builder A. van Gruisen, 1795. Bell tower with the sound of two bells, one by H. Falck, 1617, diam. 106 cm. and a modern clock. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock, 17th century, later fitted with electric winding.

Tower of the Netherlands. Rev. Church. A slender tower of the medieval parish church, a brick structure from around 1500, decorated with bands of various types of natural stone, traced niches and brick phials against the perpendicular buttresses. The masonry is closed at the top by a frieze of pointed arches, above which rises a small, slender spire.

Dutch Reformed Church. Hall church (1839), of which the eastern facade has an entablature with triglyphs and metopes and a cornice. Hipped roof. Round arched windows. Plastered tower (15th?), provided with a wooden superstructure after a fire in 1889. Inventory: Pulpit and lord's pew (18th). Organ with main work and secondary work, made in 1858 by CGF Witte. During the restoration by Flentrop in 1989, a free pedal was added.

Reformed Church in Driezum
