The church is part of an old Benedictine royal abbey dating from the 6th century. The building was rebuilt by Abbot Morard in the 10th century. After the Revolution, the church lost its status as an abbey church to become a parish abbey. Reconstructions carried out between 1821 and 1854. Church classified as a historical monument by list in 1862. Remains of the former abbey classified in 1953. Saint-Germain-des-Prés church is the oldest of the great Parisian churches.

The work on the church of the Abbey aux Dames began in 1062 and was completed in 1130. We start at the bedside, in the 11th century, then we add buttresses. On June 18, 1066, the dedication of the Abbey of the Trinity took place. Since 1865, the Trinity Church has served as a parish church following the transfer of the cult from the Saint-Gilles Church, which was abandoned and then destroyed during the bombardments preceding the liberation of Caen.

The most surprising feature is the continuous ceiling in panelling, beautifully decorated with diamond-shaped feet. The stained glass window in the central round window represents the donor and his wife. Dating from the 16th century, this stained glass window is the work of the Troyes glass painting workshops.

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Nuisement church, built in the 16th and 17th centuries, is one of the half-timbered churches in Champagne. The church was originally located in Nuisement-aux-Bois, a village that disappeared when Lac du Der was filled with water. It was dismantled piece by piece and rebuilt identically in Sainte-Marie-du-Lac in 1969.
