Santa Tecla de Cervera de la Cañada is a Mudejar Gothic style church built between the 14th and 17th centuries. It is a clear example of a fortified church that has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Mudéjar architecture typical of Aragon.

The current Gothic Cathedral of Santander was built in Gothic style from the early 12th to the 14th century on the site of a former monastery. The church has two floors: the lower cathedral and the upper cathedral. Inside, it has numerous minor chapels distributed along the two naves. Next to the cathedral is a Gothic cloister, which was the last to be built, towards the end of the 14th century.

Santarém Cathedral is a 17th century Jesuit church that was built on the site of the Royal Palace of Alcáçova Nova, which had been abandoned since the time of King John II (1481-1495). Later, with the expulsion of the Jesuits from Portugal (1759), by order of the Marquis of Pombal, the building became the seat of the Patriarchal Seminary after a donation from Mary I of Portugal (1777-1816), and remained so until the 20th century. When the Diocese of Santarém was created in 1975, the church was raised to the rank of cathedral.

The church of Santi Luca e Martina was founded in the 7th century, probably by Honorius I, who is also credited with the foundation of the neighbouring church of Saint Hadrian. The church was restored by Pope Alexander IV in 1256, and the patronage of Saint Luke (patron saint of painters) was added to the church by Sixtus V in 1588.

The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela was and remains the objective of one of the largest and most important pilgrimage routes in Europe, dedicated to the Apostle Santiago. A building was first built on the supposed tomb of the apostle at the beginning of the 9th century. However, construction of the present Romanesque church began in 1075 and was completed around 1130. This building was then equipped with a baroque facade in the 18th century. Compostela Cathedral was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1985 as part of the Old Town of Santiago de Compostela.

Monastery built between the VI-XVII centuries ruled by the Franciscan order. The construction has an obscure origin during the reign of Alfonso I, who during the Reconquest period, repopulated the Lebanese lands. This monastery had in the first place the name of San Martín Turieno, which over time would take the name of Santo Toribio. After keeping the territory out of the hands of the Muslims, this work received the remains of Santo Toribio de Astorga and other relics such as the Lignum Crucis, the largest piece of the cross of Christ.
