The Paus Johannes Centrum is completely detached in a park-like environment, in the Prinsenhof district. The park is a large rectangular area that is completely surrounded by apartment buildings (see overview photos). The complex with a flat roof is focused on functionality and has a number of meeting rooms in addition to the church hall.

The Yiddishe Shul (Temple at the New Market Place) in Botoşani is an Ashkenazi synagogue that was built in the 20th century. This Neo-Gothic brick building is now abandoned.

In 1975, a room was put into use as a Masjeed (prayer room) at Eigenhaardstraat 2, where the Turkish Workers' Association was located. The Turkish residents of Middelburg now had the opportunity to perform their prayers. In the period that this was not possible, people went to Bergen op Zoom to perform at least the Friday prayer and the festive prayer. In 1984, the Turkish Workers' Association moved to the Demarary building at Oostkerkplein 5. In 1987, the Masjeed moved to this building. An old church building in the Stromenwijk was also purchased in 1987. Due to the high renovation costs, it was decided not to have the building renovated. Partly because the neighborhood was against a mosque and because the area was not spacious enough, people continued to look for another location to establish the mosque. The Yildirim Beyazit Mosque in Middelburg was officially opened on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

The church in Ytre Arna is a long church from 1899 and is a copy of the Berger church from 1895 in Svelvik in Vestfold. Both churches have the same architect, Schak Bull, and date from the same period. The reason for the similarity of the churches is the industrial history of both places. The villages of Ytre Arna and Berger have been transformed into industrial sites and were both built around the textile industry.

The Ytre Rendal church, which was consecrated in 1751, is a typical wooden church of cruciform shape. On the hill to the west of the church is a burial mound for the Norwegian author Jacob Breda Bull (1853-1930).

Ytrebygda church is a working church consecrated in 2011. Plans had been made for a church in the village since the 1960s. ABO Plan & Arkitektur has designed the church. The art in the church is made by Per Odd Aarrestad from Sandnes in Rogaland.

The church in Ytteren is made of brick and is built in a rectangular shape and in a functionalist style. The architect of the church was Nils Toft. The church was consecrated on 4 September 1977 but was rebuilt and restored in 1999 and 2000.

This church dates from the 13th century. The walls and the Romanesque outer door are still original pieces of the first church building. During the 15th century, a porch was added, the choir was extended, the windows were enlarged and the roof was raised. The separate bell tower burned down in 1773 after which the bells were attached to the church itself. In the middle of the 19th century, the church had become too small to house the parish. The village wanted to use the stones of the old church to built a new and larger building. Luckily, magistrate Carl Martin Schönmeyer could prevent this. The church was left untouched, but abandoned. Almost a century later, in 1937, the historian Gustaf Näsström asked for donations to restore the church. To mark the 100th anniversary of the church in 1950, it was decided to protect the church from demolition forever. In 1978 there was a thorough renovation.

Ytterøy Church is a wooden church that was built in a long church style in 1890 by the architect K. Guttormsen.
