The Hackney and East London Synagogue in London was completed in 1897 by architects Delissa Joseph and Cecil Eprile. The synagogue was rebuilt in 1936. This Art Deco brick building was sold in 2009 to the Brasilian Pentacostalist church.

Suleymaniye Mosque London is an Islamic place of worship funded by the UK Turkish Islamic Cultural Centre (UKTICC) in East London.
Aziziye Mosque is an Islamic place of worship founded by the UK Turkish Islamic Association using the building of an old cinema.
St Leonard's is the first ‘Actors' Church', as England's first purpose built theatre was nearby, and several important Elizabethan theatre folk, including James and Richard Burbage, are buried in the medieval crypt.
