Halla Church

Halla Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.

About this building

The oldest part of the church is the nave, built in the 13th century. The tower and choir were built in the 14th century and have Gothic features. The wall of the choir displays some fragments of runestones.

The nave preserves some sculptures, probably made by Gotland's Romanesque artist Sigraf for the 13th century church. The church also preserves a 12th century baptismal font by Romanesque sculptor Hegvald and a 15th century rood cross.
