Hundvåg Church

Hundvåg Church is a "working church" (a church building which, in addition to the church hall, also has other halls for various activities) dating from the 1980s. In 1974, the parish of Hundvåg was separated from the parish of Hetland, so a new church for the new congregation was needed, but work only began in 1981 and was completed in 1983.

The foundation wall and the lower floor of the church were completed by January 1977, and on January 29, the new bishop of the diocese, Sigurd Lunde, laid the foundation stone in the new church.
