Pataj Museum
The Museum of Pataj, founded in 1959 by Pastyik István, expanded to include a peasant house and a Unitarian church, showcasing historical architecture.
About this building
Established in 1959 by Pastyik István, the Museum of Pataj started with a few objects in a school room. It expanded to a peasant house with a barn in 1962 and later added a nearby Unitarian church. The museum showcases the 19th-century Peasant House in Pataj and the historical architecture of Dunapataj.
The Unitarian church serves as the center of museum activities, hosting lectures and concerts. The museum continues to preserve and display its unique collection, managed by Schill Tamás since 2001. The renovated Unitarian church features a distinctive cassette ceiling structure, making it a splendid attraction for visitors.
