St Martin's: a community of prayer and welcome in the name of Jesus Christ since before 597AD. The oldest church in continuous use in the English speaking world. Part Roman, part Saxon. It was here that St Augustine set up his mission when he arrived from Rome to convert the English.

You can't come to Canterbury without visiting the world famous cathedral, site of the shrine of Thomas Becket and the seat of the Archbishop. The spectacular building houses many stunning features, including a Romanesque crypt, a perpendicular nave and beautiful medieval stained glass windows. It is the Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Old Synagogue in Canterbury is an Ashkenazi synagogue built in 1847-48 by architect Hezekiah Marshall. This concrete building in the Egyptian Revival style still serves as a synagogue.
St Peter's is in a windswept location, in open farmland, with ancient yew trees and a patina of great antiquity. Abutting the north side of the tower, and entered from the church, is a rare medieval priest's house.
