Stavros tou Agiasmati
Stavros tou Agiasmati is one of the painted churches of the Troodos Mountains. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
About this building
Built in the 15th century, the church was originally part of a monastic complex near the mountain village of Platanistasa. As many other painted churches in the Troodos region, it is a single-nave church with a pitched timber roof.
As in some other churches, the donors of the church, the priest Petros Peratis and his wife Pepani, are represented holding a model of the church.
