Chiajna Monastery

The monastery of Chiajna, built at the end of the 18th century, is now in ruins. Intended to be the most important place of worship in Romania at the time of its construction, the neoclassical building was quickly destroyed by Turkish attacks. It has been classified as a Romanian historical monument since 2010.

The Lady's Church

This 17th-century church was built as part of the boyar house of Serban Cantacuzino, prince of Wallachia. It was founded by his wife, Lady Maria. The church has a rectangular nave and thick walls, according to the style of chapels of court princes. It has undergone several major restorations over its history: in the 19th century to repair the damages caused by earthquakes.

It was declared a historic monument in 1915.
