Church of Saint-Paterne de Montrond

The Church of St. Paterne de Montrond, listed as a Historic Monument, is located in Neuville-pres-Sees, Normandy. It became a parish church and was modified in the seventeenth century. It is a rural building with a single nave and a choir with a flat chevet. The sacristy was attached to the chevet. The church Saint-Paterne de Montrond, registered with the Historical Monuments, is located in Neuville-près-Sées, in Normandy. In the thirteenth century, the church was first a priory built by the Benedictines of the Abbey of Saint-Martin de Sées before becoming a parish church. It was modified in the 17th century.

It is a rural building with a single nave and a choir with a flat chevet. The sacristy is attached to the chevet . A small cemetery adjoins it. The beauty of the church comes from its magnificent 14th century wall paintings in the nave and choir. There are also modern stained glass windows made by François Rouan. The church became private property in 1924.

Church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption

The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is located in Tellières-le-Plessis, in Normandy. The Romanesque portal dates from the late twelfth century while the rest of the current building probably dates back to the sixteenth or seventeenth century. A robust steeple surmounts the first bay of nave; two lateral altars frame the entrance of the choir. The interior is decorated with three beautiful 19th century wooden altarpieces and a lectern and stalls from the same period.

Church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul

The church of St. Peter and St. Paul of Essay, in the department of Orne, dates from the eleventh century. It’s Romanesque entrance is decorated with capitals with monsters head and geometric patterns. The interior of the church, elegantly decorated, includes some elements of classified furniture, such as a cross depicting Christ from the fifteenth century and the baptismal font of the twelfth century, which are decorated with the same geometric decoration as that of the Romanesque portal.
