Church of Saint-Martin, Jeantes

Dating from the 12th century, the building was rebuilt in its entirety during the first half of the 17th century, the choir and the nave around 1620-30, according to a scientific measurement and dating campaign undertaken in 1978.

About this building

One of the last constructions of fortified churches, composed of three parts: a square keep with loopholes, which has only two levels left of the original three, flanked by two quadrangular turrets pierced by loopholes, a nave and a choir of the same width.
