St. George's Monastery

St. George's Monastery was built in 1860 on the site where an old monastery was destroyed by the Ottomans in the 14th century. The new church was built thanks to the contributions of the citizens of Negotino between 1860 and 1866. The monastery houses were built a little later than the construction of the monastery church in the 1870s.
