Nes Church

The Sauherad Church was built between 1150 and 1250 and is dedicated to Saint Lawrence. It has a rectangular nave and a narrower choir at the right end. In 1781 the nave was extended to the west. The south portals of the choir and the nave have been preserved, but the portal of the nave has been somewhat modified. In 1830, the church was redesigned by architect Linstow. The frescoes in the church hall were discovered and restored in the 1940s and 1950s by Gerhard Gotaas.

The church of Romnes, which was built between 1150 and 1250, is a Romanesque stone church with a square nave and a smaller, lower square chancel with a semicircular end, the apse. The gables are made of wood, the choir and the nave have a gable roof. In front of the west entrance, there is a square wooden tower with a pyramidal roof. The church was the private property of the Aall family until 1986.

Valebø Church is a long church from 1903. The altarpiece is a copy of Adolph Tidemand's painting "The Resurrection" from the Bragernes church in Drammen. The organ was built by the organ factory of J.H. Jørgensen.
