The Romanesque church of Sant Miquel del Fai belongs to a cenobitic Benedictine monastery. The building was constructed during the 11th century. It is hidden by nature, surrounded by rocks and waterfalls. Inside the building, a few tombs of monks can be found. The old priory house from the 15th century has a Gothic style.
The Monastery of Sant Miquel del Fai was founded by Gombau de Besora, lord of the nearby castle of Montbui, in the 11th century. The monastery is located in a stunning natural environment, surrounded by caves and waterfalls.
The monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt was founded in the 11th century by monks of the Monastery of Sant Cugat. The church is the remnant of the old monastery that has been preserved in good condition.
There is evidence of the existence of a church in this place since 990, and like others in this territory. The architectural complex of Santa Maria de l'Estany, which was restored in the 19th century, is made up of the church, the cloister and various outbuildings that are located around the latter, where there is now a museum.
