Lojsta Church
Lojsta Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.
About this building
The nave and chancel date from the 13th century. The bell tower was added in the 14th century. Several important medieval objects are preserved inside, such as a baptismal font and a rood cross, both from the 12th century. There is also an altarpiece from the 14th century. The church preserves several sets of mural paintings from the 14th to the 16th centuries.
