Ganthem Church

Ganthem Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.

About this building

The church dates back to the 13th century and has retained its medieval features almost unchanged.

The interior preserves some murals from the 15th century, by the so-called Passion Master. The church furnishings and items include a 13th century rood cross and 14th century baptismal font. The 14th-century altarpiece in the church is a copy of the original, which belongs to the Swedish Museum of History.
