Ølmheim Church

The Ølmheim church is a long church from 1863. The church was built according to the plans of the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch, with Ola Olson Løken as builder. On 15 January 1989 lightning struck the tower and it started to burn down. The fire brigade arrived quickly enough to extinguish the fire, only the tower had to be rebuilt the same year.

Stedje Church

The Stedje church, which was inaugurated in 1867, was prefabricated in Christiania and then transported and installed in Stedje. The church is characterised by neo-gothic forms and the inspiration of the stave churches. It was built according to the designs of Chr. Christie.

Leikanger Church

The Leikanger church is a stone church dating from around 1250. Around 1872, a lower and narrower choir was built, with a sacristy to the north-east. At the same time, the 17th-century tower was replaced by a new tower in neo-gothic style. When the church was restored in the years 1930-50 under the direction of architect Johan Lindstrøm, the 19th-century tower was demolished and replaced by a modern tower.

Fresvik Church

The Fresvik church is a long church from 1881, erected by the builder A.A. Åse according to the plans of the architect Henrik Nissen. At the place where the church is located, there used to be a 12th-century stave church which was demolished to make way for the new church.
