Stedje Church

The Stedje church, which was inaugurated in 1867, was prefabricated in Christiania and then transported and installed in Stedje. The church is characterised by neo-gothic forms and the inspiration of the stave churches. It was built according to the designs of Chr. Christie.

Ølmheim Church

The Ølmheim church is a long church from 1863. The church was built according to the plans of the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch, with Ola Olson Løken as builder. On 15 January 1989 lightning struck the tower and it started to burn down. The fire brigade arrived quickly enough to extinguish the fire, only the tower had to be rebuilt the same year.

Kaupanger Stave Church

The stave church of Kaupanger may date from the 12th century. The church was rebuilt in 1862 and restored in 1965.

Hafslo Church

The Hafslo church is a wooden church built in 1878 according to the project of the architect J. Faye. The present church replaces the Stave church in Hafslo, dating from around 1200, which had no heating system.
