Orkanger Church

The Orkanger Church is a long church dating from 1892. Initially, the church was characterised by the Swiss chalet style, but the façade was simplified somewhat in 1950 when the church was re-panelled and the tower was modified. The church changed its colour several times from brown to yellow and then from brown to white (in 1991).

Moe kirke

The present Moe Church is the third church in Svorkmo. A church for the factory workers was built on Skankebakken in 1675 and was destroyed by a flood in 1816. In the same year, an octagonal wooden church was built on Smedhaugen, about one kilometre further north. This church was demolished in 1866 and a new church was built on Moe. The church on Moe was designed by Ole Fredriksen Rømmesmo and Børre Thorstensen Wulvig, built in 1866-67 and consecrated on 28 December 1867.

Skaun Church

Skaun Church is a medieval stone church with a rectangular nave and lower choir and narrower at the right end. The south and west portals of the nave are richly designed and bear stone carving marks similar to those found on the octagon of the Nidaros Cathedral. The church was restored in 1930 according to Erling Gjone's plans. In the nave, frescoes were discovered on the wall of the choir.
