St Catherine’s Church, Sromowce Niżne

St Catherine’s Church is a wooden church that dates back to 1513. It is one of the oldest, though not one of the most monumental, wooden churches in the Małopolska province in southern Poland.

About this building

It functioned as a parish church until the 1980s, when a new brick church was built. The nave and chancel of the church are the same width and the interior ceilings are flat. The church's oldest artwork is gothic triptych from the end of the 14th century.
