St. Mary's Church

St. Mary's Church is a Catholic church completed in 1954, designed by the architect Kaj Salenius. The interior of the church was renovated in 1985. At that time, the altar wall was covered with natural stone mosaics made by the German deacon and artist Claus Kilian.

Temppeliaukio Church

Temppeliaukio Church is a modernist monolithic stone church, completed in 1969. The church, carved into the rock, was designed by brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen and is an outstanding example of architectural expressionism of the 1960s. It is made of granite stone which allows daylight to filter through the roof. Thanks to its acoustic properties, the church is a popular concert venue.

Kallio Church

Kallio Church is a gray granite church located in Helsinki. Built between 1908 and 1912, the building was designed by architect Lars Sonck and endorses a national romantic style, with features of the International Art Nouveau.
