Oulu Cathedral was completed in 1832 by architect Carl Ludvig Engel. The stone walls of the church are from a former church completed in 1777, which was destroyed in wooden parts during the fire in Oulu in 1822. There has been a wooden church on the site of the cathedral since the 1610s.

Our Lady of Blankedelle Church is a modern style church built between 1968 and 1970. It is a Catholic parish for the Transvaal district. In the second half of the 20th century, a third parish church was needed in Auderghem, in a district that was undergoing a period of urbanisation. The Avenue des Héros, where the church was built, was created in 1955.

A slightly unusual church with a mainland European character, presumably influenced by the Belgian order which commissioned the building in the 1930s. The arched interior is impressive. The main body of the church is largely hidden in street views, but the street frontage, with that of the presbytery, makes a positive contribution to the Camden Town Conservation Area.

The neo-Romanesque exterior of the church, with its rich articulation, buttresses and decorative elements, is a remarkable work of Hungarian ecclesiastical architecture. The two towers of the building are a landmark of the town of Nyíregyháza.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Ljeviš is a 14th-century Serbian Orthodox church in Prizren. The church was converted into mosque under Ottoman rule and functioned as such from the 15th to the beginning of the 20th century.
