Valjok Church, formerly Valjok Chapel, is a long church dating from 1932. The small building was erected in the years 1931-32 according to the drawings of the architect Harald Sund. The colour scheme and decorations inside the church are clearly Sami.

The church of Valkeala was designed by Armas Lindgren and Bertel Liljeqvist and was consecrated in 1927. The present church of Valkeala is the fourth on the site. The first church in Valkeala was completed in 1631 and the second in 1674. The third church was consecrated in 1798 and was destroyed by fire in November 1920. The octagonal wooden bell tower of the church of Valkeala dates from 1782.

The church was inaugurated in 1962. With its steep gabled roof, it has similarities with a ship. The choir is the bow of the ship. The architect was Johannes Olivegren. (He has also designed Nuvertorp's church.) Downstairs there is a meeting room and a kitchenette. Before the parish yard existed, all children and youth activities were conducted in the church.

The sacred metropolitan cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption was built in the sixteenth century and designed in a Herrerian style (from the architect Juan de Herrera) with Baroque additions. Due to lack of resources, the cathedral has never been completed.

The Valle church is cross-shaped and was built in 1793. At the end of the 1980s, the roof of the church was restored. It was restored inside for the 200th anniversary in 1993, among other things, the natural colour of the wooden walls was revealed. It is documented that there was a church on Valle in 1390. In 1577 Peder Claussøn Friis built a new church at the northern end of the present cemetery. It was called Peder Claussøn's church and was in use until 1792 when it was demolished.
