In the early Middle Ages, a hillfort was divided into two parts, which were separated by a road leading to the Danube. Its area was fortified on three sides, on the south side there was probably no fortification, probably due to the unusually vertical bank 3-4 m high, which was a natural protection.

Construction time: 1904. In 1932, the expansion to a larger than the original area after the extension of the nave on the south-west side. In 1944/45 the old chapel and the tower were slightly damaged. The extension was completely destroyed, to date, completely absent. The Christian community Beréa Heerlen was founded in 1993 by Piet Vente, Jan_Sjoerd_Pasterkamp and Leen de Rijk. Piet Vente was the pastor until he handed it over to Glenn Comvalius in 2000. In 2004 the church moved from the Zeswegen district to Schaesbergerweg 136 in Heerlen where they moved into their own building. In 2010 Glenn Comvalius handed over the pastorship to Remco de Zwart.

Built as a Reformed Church in the southern district of Huizum-West. Important reconstruction church: single-nave hall church, with rose window and small bell tower, in traditionalist forms. Out of use as a Reformed Church in 1996, when the local Reformed parish merged with, and into, the nearby Dutch Reformed Kurios Church .

Built as a Liberal Reformed Church. Important early modern church building, without a tower. Architectural style: New Hague School/New Objectivity. Fourteen beautiful elongated windows from the construction period by Utrecht artist Kees Kuiler. Since the early 1980s, collaboration with the Remonstrants, who left their church building elsewhere in Arnhem at the time. The current name of this collaboration is "Parkstraatgemeente".
