The Risinge Old Church is a 12th-century church that was enlarged in several stages until the 18th century. It is famous for its frescoes from the early 15th century. The artist behind the paintings is unknown but was called the 'Master of the Elevation' after his best-preserved work.

Riska's old church was built in 1877, and today it stands as a typical example of 19th century Norwegian white wooden churches. The interior of the church is rather spartan, but the beautiful stained glass windows are worth seeing. They were donated by Christian Bjelland. The church has undergone several renovations since it was built in 1877, and little of the original interior has been preserved.

Risør Church from 1646 is a white-painted cruciform church with a vestry behind the chancel in the east and a tower in front of the entrance in the west. Although Risør is one of the oldest settlements in Sørlandet, and was previously an important hub for the Dutch timber trade, it is the first church built on the site. The interior of the church underwent several changes during the 19th century.

The church is built of stone and was originally built in the 12th century. In 1818 the church's roof burned and in 1872 the tower collapsed, which is why the church was in great need of refurbishment. They then chose to have a new church built and adopted the architect AH Hugg's proposal, which resulted in a large Gothic cathedral of brick. Hugg carefully adapted the medieval nave of the old church and the Kagg burial chancel to the new church. The baptismal font in the Kaggska choir was donated in 1671 by Petrus Kyronus in memory of his first wife Anna Wudd.
