Sainte-Catherine Catholic Church at Vieux-Lille is one of the oldest churches in Lille, traces of which can be found in the 12th century. Its tower-belfry has the oldest bell in the town dated 1403 and called Marie.

The present Church of Saint Catherine of Brussels was built on the site of a dock in the old port of Brussels between 1854 and 1874. The building, of French Gothic inspiration, replaces an old 14th century church that had become too small. Twice the church has been threatened with demolition: in the 1950s in favour of an open-air car park, in 2011, as a project to transform the building into a covered market is under study. In 2014, the church was finally placed under the responsibility of the priests of the Brotherhood of the Holy Apostles.

The church of Sainte-Colombe dates from the 14th century, but the present church owes much to reconstruction in the 15th century. Damaged during the French Wars of Religion, it was completely renovated in the 17th century. The church served as a place of worship for the Carmelites for part of the 19th century before being desecrated and converted into a warehouse for a regional cooperative in the early 20th century. Purchased and restored in 2000, it is the property of the Society of Saint Pius X.

Built within the walls of the citadel, the Sainte-Croix church and its chapel date back to the 11th century. A new church was probably built around 1140 and then enlarged at the end of the 12th century. The western façade was rebuilt in 1750 with stones from the castle. Major restoration work took place between 1852 and 1855.

Built in the 1510s, the Sainte-Croix-en-son-Exaltation church has a variety of roofing materials: the slate bell tower, the flat tile of the nave, the chestnut wood and the slats. The seven windows of the apse and nave, dating from the 19th century, bear the names of their donors.

The church of Sainte-Dévote was built as a chapel before 1070 near a cave in the Gaumates Valley, where, according to tradition, the body of Sainte Dévote, patron saint of Monaco, was buried. The chapel has undergone successive restorations and enlargements, notably in 1476, 1606, 1637 and 1870. The present church was built under Prince Charles III (1856-1889) and was inaugurated on 25 January 1871.

To honour the relics of Saint Eutropius of Saintes (3rd or 4th century), Benedictine monks founded a monastery in the 9th century and built a two-storey church. The church acquired its Gothic bell tower later in the 15th century (1478-1496). The Benedictine monastery being abolished in 1789, the building became a parish church.

Built in the heart of the Baconnais forest, the monastery seems to have existed since the middle of the 11th century. The place already seemed to have been put under the name of Sainte-Gemme.

The church was built following an increase in the population. Construction began in 1774 and was not completed until the 19th century.

Rebuilt after the Hundred Years' War, St. Peter's Cathedral was one of the great flamboyant Gothic monuments in the West. In 1568, when it was not completely finished, its vaults were destroyed by Protestant troops. A massive bell tower and a flamboyant portal characterize the exterior of this church, built for the most part in the 15th century.
