St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral was designed by Carlo Rossi and completed in 1841. It is the Catholic Cathedral of Tallinn. During the period of Swedish rule (1561-1721) Catholicism was banned. When Sweden ceded Estonia to the Russian Empire at the end of the Great Northern War, the new authorities introduced religious freedom. In 1799, the Catholic parish grew and took over the use of the former refectory of St. Catherine's Monastery, which had remained closed since the ban. The refectory was used as a place of worship and is located on the site of the present church. In 1841, as the place of worship had become too small, a new church was designed by Carlo Rossi.

St. Peter and St. Paul's Basilica is undoubtedly one of the most famous churches in Rome's modernist quarter (Q. XXXII). The building, designed by architect Arnaldo Foschini in 1938, is a Greek cross and features a reinforced concrete structure topped by a 31-metre diameter dome. It was not until 1955 that it was officially opened for worship. The two colossal statues of St. Peter and St. Paul facing the building since 1942, are two of the most representative elements of the basilica.

St. Peter's Abbey is the oldest abbey of the Benedictine congregation in Austria and the oldest in the German-speaking area. It was founded by St. Rupert around the year 696 as a base for the mission of the inhabitants of the Eastern Alps. In 1622, Archbishop Paris von Lodron erected the University of Salzburg under the Benedictine monastery, which remained closely linked to the abbey until the end in 1810.

St. Peter and Paul Church, built in the late 14th century, is one of the largest Gothic churches in Gdansk. During the period from 1622 to 1945, it was the main Reformed Evangelical Church in Gdańsk.

St. Peter's Basilica is the cocathedral of the diocese of Augsburg and a necropolis of the bishops of Augsburg. In 1498, the Prince-Bishop of Augsburg, Frederick II of Zollern, had a collegiate church built dedicated to the Apostle Peter. It was secularised with the Imperial Recess of 1803. The collegiate church then became a simple parish church. The church was given the rank of minor basilica in 1979.

Also known as the Treviso Cathedral, this cathedral was originally built in the place of a previous Roman temple. Remodelled in the 12th century in a Romanesque style,and remodeled again in the 18th century in a neoclassical style, the current building dates from the 19th century. Much still remains of the previous buildings however, most natably the crypt, wherein several of Treviso's bishops are buried. There is a legend surrounding the cathedral's unfinished bell tower, which states that it was stopped mid-construction by the Venetian government so that it would not be taller than the tower on St. Marks square.

St. Peter's Cathedral is the first and largest of the shared churches in Germany. In 1213, Bishop Bruno II established a collegiate chapter there. The building took on its present appearance around 1430, when the late Gothic hall church was extended to the south by a fourth nave. The interior was redecorated in Baroque taste after the town fire in 1634, which also affected the church. In 1664, the bell tower was raised by a Baroque spire. After long quarrels and discussions between Catholics and Lutherans, the council of provosts of the town decides according to an edict of 1543 which regulates the use of the church for both communities.

St. Peter's Church was built in the second half of the 18th century, between 1773 and 1795, in place of another older church, still dedicated to St. Peter and most probably built in 1416.

St. Peter's Church is the fourth sacred building to stand here. The present church was built between 1750 and 1755 in Renaissance style. The church was then renovated several times, the last time from 2003 to 2005.

St. Peter's Church is a neo-classical style church completed in 1782 by the architect Jean-François Wincqz. The present church replaces an old church from the 13th century. The church has a beautiful neo-classical tripartite facade combining red brick, white stone and bluestone: white ashlar divides the facade into several compartments of red brick, while bluestone is used for the frames of doors and bays. In the extension of the façade, the bell tower takes the form of a square tower with cut-off sides or an octagonal tower.
