Christ Church is set on the brow of a hill, in the centre of the parish, but on the edge of the village, surrounded by the old and new well kept churchyard and by farmland. The village War Memorial is near the church porch.

Christ Church is a grade II* listed church, built in 1851 to a design by George Gilbert Scott. Christ Church is built in the style of the late 13th century and complete with chancel, clerestoried nave of three bays with aisles, transepts and a western tower with broach spire.

The first church on this site was completed in 1841 but suffered significant fire damage. The vicar, Revd Thomas Vowler Wickham, continued to use the remains of the old church for as long as possible, and in May 1891 it was reported that that he had ‘conducted a wedding in the ruins'.

Christ Church is a splendid Victorian church, built in the decorated style in 1855, when the communities of Brampton and West Melton were growing fast with the expansion of coal mining. The church windows all have delicate and unique tracery and beautiful stained glass, by Whitefriars.

Christ Church Spitalfields was named 'The Best Building in London' by the Evening Standard in 2004. Built in 1729 it has for most of its life been homed to a committed worshipping Christian community. Yet every week 1000's of tourists, pilgrims and visitors enjoy our church building.

The Christ Church in Amsterdam is a former cloth hall converted into an Anglican church on the Groenburgwal . [ 1 ] It is one of the first, possibly the first, buildings in the Netherlands in the style of the Neo-Gothic.

Christ Church College in Oxford is unique in having the only college chapel that is also a cathedral. It is said to have been founded as a convent by St Frideswide in the 8th century, but the oldest parts of the church date from the 12th century, when it was an Augustinian priory and place of pilgrimage. In 1525 Thomas Wolsey suppressed the priory and began work creating a college.

Christ Church Cathedral or Dublin Cathedral is an Irish Anglican cathedral. Founded in 1038 by the Vikings who occupied Dublin, it is the oldest of the city's two cathedrals. In 1539, King Henry VIII decided to convert the priory into an Anglican cathedral with a dean and a chapter. The Cathedral was completely renovated during the Victorian era by George Edmund Street. In the twentieth century, further renovations were carried out, particularly between 1980 and 1982.

Christ Church Cathedral is the Anglican cathedral of Lisburn. Construction of the present building began in 1708. A church was built on the site of the cathedral in the early 1600s by Sir Fulke Conway as a chapel of ease for his new castle. It was consecrated in 1623 and dedicated to St Thomas, but was destroyed with much of the town during the rebellion of 1641. The church was soon rebuilt and in 1662 St Thomas's was designated by Charles II as the cathedral church of the diocese of Down and Connor and renamed Christ Church Cathedral. However, the cathedral burned down in 1707.
