Espoo Cathedral is a medieval greystone church built between 1485 and 1490. At the end of the 18th century, paintings that covered the walls and vaults were unveiled. The paintings depict the history of the world, from creation to redemption, as well as everyday things such as trading horses and milking cows. The church only became a cathedral in 2004, making it the youngest of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland.

This mosque follows the tradition of the "medina Concept" following the design of the Great Mosque of Medina. The style of the mosque follows Egyptian Mammeluk architecture which features contrasting bluish and grey stone which creates a striped pattern. It consists of three central elements, each of which are domed.

Essen Cathedral was once the collegiate church of Essen Abbey, founded around 845 by St. Altfrid, Bishop of Hildesheim, around which the city of Essen developed. The present building, which was rebuilt after its destruction during the Second World War, is a Gothic church, built after 1275 from pale sandstone. The octagonal-shaped Western Massif and the crypt are survivors of the pre-Romanesque Ottonian building that stood here. To the north of the church is a cloister which was once used by the abbey. The cathedral is famous for housing the Golden Madonna of Essen. Dated around the year 980, it is both the oldest known sculpture of the Madonna and the oldest free-standing medieval sculpture north of the Alps.

The Basilica of Esztergom, or St. Adalbert's Cathedral, was built between 1822 and 1869 and is the largest church built in Hungary. The neo-classical basilica was built on the site of an old medieval cathedral from the 11th century, destroyed by the Ottomans in 1543.

The Esztergom Synagogue was inaugurated in 1888 on the site of a former synagogue of the Esztergom Jewish community existing since the 11th century. The building has not had its original function since the Second World War. In 2006, it was purchased by the municipality and became the House of Culture (Művelődési Ház).
