Built as a Reformed Church with the name Vlaswiekkerk, with and later without a spire. In 2009 the church was put up for sale. The building has since been bought by Centrum Lumos, the church is now used as a Buddhist spiritual center.

In 1913 the community built its own church at Bermweg 332. Around 1966 the church in Capelle had about 420 members. In the meantime the civil community of Capelle had been bombarded to 'growth core'. As a result the church had also started to grow. The church building had become old and too small. In the spring of 1970 a new building was put into use.
