The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown, but according to dates on the preserved tombstones it can be assumed that the cemetery already existed in the early 18th century. First, it appears on a Russian map of 1879. Later it was marked on the Soviet map of 1985.

Deset Church, dating from 1867, is the only church built according to the designs of the Danish architect Johan Henrik Nebelong from 1851 to 1960. The church is well preserved after the modifications made to it in 1903. The church has two copies of medieval stone sculptures from the workshops of Nidaros Cathedral.

The Protestant church in Diedenshausen is a half-timbered church that is a listed historical monument. The current building was built from 1802 to 1806 after the old stone parish church had become too small.
