The foundation stone of the parish church Ceske Budejovice was laid around 1265, shortly after the founding of the city. The church of St Nicholas was consecrated in 1297, although it was still incomplete at the time. The completion of the main building probably occurred sometime around the mid 14th century.[1] The original Gothic church was damaged by fire and repaired in the years 1513 - 1518. The church was significantly rebuilt several times. During the 16th century the church acquired a new bell tower called the Black Tower. In the 17th century, reconstruction took place and the church acquired its current baroque appearance. The church has a triple nave layout with 18th century interiors. In 1785 the interior was renovated when the church was elevated to a cathedral due to the creation of the Diocese of Ceske Budejovice.[2]

The Dombås church is a cruciform church with octagonal eaves above the cross. The church is built into a local slate wall, according to designs by Magnus and Esben Poulsson. It is a typical church by Magnus Poulsson with a vaulted roof which contributes to the pyramidal effect of the whole. The towers and roofs are clad with slate slabs.

The convent of Marseille was founded in 1225 and, after its suppression in 1790, was restored in 1862. Since then, the friars occupy the same convent buildings built in the 19th century located in the heart of the city, near Place Castellane. The place was used as a refuge for Jews during the Second World War .

The current church was part of a Dominican monastery complex, of which only a wall remains. The church was built during the 18th century and served as the conventional church of the Dominicans until the monastery was abolished in 1811.

The Dominican monastery was built at the same time as the monastery church in the second half of the 13th century. In 1543 the monastery was secularized, and after a few years (in 1547) it was closed. In the years 1927-28, a general renovation of the monastery was carried out in order to turn it into a regional museum, which until 1945. In 1956 the municipal and district public library was opened there. Currently, the monastery buildings house local cultural institutions: the Cultural Centre Myśliborski and the Municipal Public Library.

The Dominican Monastery in Bol was erected in 1475 very close to the small church of Our Lady of Mercy, on the site of an old castle. It has become one of the best known landmarks on the island of Brac. The Monastery Museum displays an extensive collection of objects ranging from prehistoric artefacts to underwater archaeological discoveries. But its most valuable masterpiece is the painting of Our Lady with the Child and Saints, at the altar of the church.

The Dominican Monastery of St. Nicholas was probably built in the 16th century. The building was seized by the Russians and Montenegrins in 1808. In 1813, the English returned the church and monastery to the Dominicans who occupied it, but it remained closed due to the shortage of monks. It was not until 1844 that the monks returned to the monastery.

The Dominicus Church is a neo-Gothic church building on the Spuistraat in Amsterdam. It was built as a Roman Catholic Parish Church of Saint Dominic by Pierre Cuypers and served by the Dominicans . The church is no longer part of the Catholic Church, but is used by the Dominican community and rented out.

The history of this building, one of the oldest churches in the north of the country, is visible in the side walls, the transept of the monastery and the 13th century brick choir.
