The Heidal church was built after the old Heidal church of 1754 burned down due to a lightning strike in 1933. Only the silverware, the candlestick, the altar books and the crucifix were saved. The construction of a new church started quickly and already in 1941 the new church was consecrated.

Since 1985 it has been in use as a Roman Catholic chapel, community hall and mass centre of the Dogmatic Union (a traditionalist Roman Catholic foundation founded in 1981 by the late chaplain WJ Kouwenberg), with the name Church of the Holy Altar Sacrament .

The Heilig Hart van Jezuskerk (Sacred Heart of Jesus) is a Roman Catholic parish church in the neighbourhood of Oud-Caberg, in Maastricht. It was built between 1876 and 1877. The nave was designed by Architect Johannes Kayser, the tower by by Willem Sprenger. The enlargement of the chancel was the work of architect Alphons Boosten.

Important work by architect Jos. CF Margry. The Heilig Hart van Jezuskerk is a Roman Catholic church at Beeklaan 13 in the Dutch village of De Zilk. Originally, the Catholic inhabitants of De Zilk belonged to the parish of Vogelenzang. The Heilig Hart van Jezuskerk was built in 1919-1920 to a design by Jos Margry. It is a three-aisled neo-Gothic cruciform church. In 1922, the church was enlarged and in 1928 the tower was built. The church was put into use in 1920 and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Nowadays, the church is used by the Wilibrordus parish, a merged parish in which the parishes of Hillegom, Lisse and De Zilk have been merged since 1 January 2010. With elements of Neo-Romanesque in 1931 to a design by the architects Caspar and Jos. Franssen from Roermond built church in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The church is situated in a small park. In front of the church is a Sacred Heart statue from around 1935 in artificial stone on a plinth of Kunradersteen. Around the Sacred Heart statue is a natural stone wall with columns with iron bars in between. At the rear of the church on the altar side is a Lourdes grotto also from around 1935 (1940 according to the year at the grotto) built from so-called hard mine stone with an altar table, a pulpit and a niche with a statue of Mary.

The population continued to expand and the emergency church became too small. In 1935-'36 the current church was built of brick. The design is in the expressionist style of J. Cuypers and P. Cuypers jr. More information about the architecture can be found at the Stichting Wetenschapsinstituut Glasschilderkunst 20e eeuw. The clock was made by the Eysbouts company in Asten in 1936. In that same year the church was blessed by dean Souren and the new church could be put into use. Finally in 1937 the rectory was elevated to an independent parish. The bishop of Roermond appointed rector Schippers as the first pastor of the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
