The church of Helme is a 14th-century church, now in ruins. The church probably suffered from the Livonian War, because in 1613 and 1640 the building was mentioned to be in ruins. In 1674 the church was restored. In 1702, after the Battle of Hummelshof, the Russians burnt the church. In the middle of the 18th century, the sanctuary was rebuilt. The church in Helme was finally badly damaged in the autumn battles of 1944, hence its present condition.

The Helme church, in the municipality of Øygarden, was built in masonry in 1971. Its architect is Arne S.Halvorsen.

Helsingør Cathedral dates from the 13th century and is named after the Norwegian patron saint, St. Olaf. However, the present church was completed in 1559, with later additions such as the spire dating from 1897-98.

Helsinki Cathedral is a cathedral of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland located in the centre of Helsinki. It was built between 1830 and 1852 when Finland was part of the Russian Empire (1809-1917) and was called St. Nicholas' Church. As early as 1818, Carl Ludwig Engel, who worked on the design of the whole square, drew the first plans of the church and refined them over a decade. The Old Church of Helsinki is the oldest church in Helsinki city centre, completed in 1826 by the architect Carl Ludvig Engel. The Old Church was originally intended only as a temporary solution when the 18th century Ulrika Eleonora Church, which was replaced by Helsinki Cathedral, was demolished to make way for the Senate square. Due to the temporary character, the old church was built of wood and without bells. The Old Church is surrounded by the Old Church Park, which was a former cemetery.

Hem church is a long stone church dating from the Middle Ages. The church has a rectangular nave and a narrower and lower choir with a straight end. The church belonged to Jarlsberg County from 1673 to 1766, when the farmers of the parish bought it. It was not until 1913 that the church was transferred to the congregation. The interior now bears the mark of the renovation that was carried out at the end of the 17th century.

The Hemdat Israel Synagogue in Istanbul is a Sephardi synagogue built in 1899 but reconstructed in 1920. This Neo-gothic brick building is still used as a synagogue.

The church of Hemne was completed in 1817 after the site church burned down following a lightning strike in 1815. It was a single-nave church, probably dating from the late Middle Ages, and had been enlarged in the 17th and 17th centuries. The present church, dating from 1817, is a raised octagonal church with external panels and a central tower. The church hall has painted wooden walls and flat ceilings. The decorations are characterized by classicism.

The church in Hemnes is an octagonal wooden church from 1872, designed by the architect Niels Stockfleth Darre Eckhoff. This church was built on top of a previous church from 1742. The sacristy was extended in 1969.
