The church with the ekklesionym Agia Paraskevi is located just a little east of the former centre of Morphou in the neighbourhood of the same name. The church was built in the years 1880-1885. The bell tower can be found in the south-eastern corner. After 1974, the church was converted into a mosque with the name "Güzelyurt Ramazan Cami".

The church of Agios Georgios is located in the north-western area of Morphou near Agios Mamas. The building was erected in 1922 and the bell tower was added in 1931. The church has a single nave cross vault with an apse and external pillars. The bell tower is located at the southeast corner. The building has Gothic elements. Today the church is used by the GASAD (Association of Amateur Artists).

The Cathedral Church of Agios Mamas is located in the north-western part of the old town of Morphou. As Hadjichristodoulou illustrates, it is of the so-called Franco-Byzantine type, combining a Gothic three-aisled basilica with a Byzantine dome. The church, built in the 16th century, stands on the ruins of two early Christian and one mid-Byzantine church. The present church tower was added only in 1900. Restoration work was carried out with support from USAID in 2018. Today, the church is used as a museum.

The Panagia tou Mnasi Church is located approx. 4 km northwest of Morphou in the fields (close to the village of Syrianochori). The condition of the building is poor to ruin. The building has no doors and windows, the floor is excavated, and parts of the roof have already fallen in.

Notre-Dame de Mortemer Abbey, founded in 1134 by King Henri Beauclerc, was the first Cistercian abbey in Normandy. Most of the original buildings dating from the 12th and 13th centuries are in ruins and were classified as historic monuments in 1966. The large residence is a 17th century building in good condition that houses the abbey museum.

The church in Mortensrud, which was completed in 2002, was designed by architects Jan Olav Jensen and Børre Skodvin. The building is award-winning and highly appreciated, but it has also attracted attention and opposition. Nature is strongly present in the interior. Through large windows, you can see the pine forest outside. Natural rock is present and embedded in the ground inside. The wooden altarpiece is made by Gunnar Torvund. In 2003, the Norwegian Steel Construction Award was presented to Mortensrud Church.

The Moscow Cathedral Mosque is the main mosque of Moscow, the largest in Russia and Europe. The first building of the mosque was built in 1904, it housed a religious school which, after the revolution of 1917, became a secular Tatar school. During the Soviet period, the mosque did not close and even became the only functioning mosque in central Russia after 1936. With the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics, the mosque, located next to the Olympic sports complex under construction, was threatened with demolition. The mosque was saved by Moscow's religious leaders and ambassadors from Arab countries. In 2011, it was demolished for the construction of a new mosque, which was opened in 2015.

The Moses and Aaron Church is a Roman Catholic church originated from a clandestine church. The current building was built between 1837 and 1841 in neoclassicism style.

Mosjo-Tuby parish, is located in the borderland between city and country. The parish comprises an old cultural and arable land dating back to pre-Christian times.

On Friday 18 February 2005, the first pile was driven for the new Turkish mosque next to the emergency mosque. The design was made by the architectural firm Rijndorp in Reeuwijk. He also designed the mosques in Alphen aan den Rijn, Haarlem and Gouda and the El Fath mosque in Amersfoort, which is under construction. The building will cost 1.4 million euros. The shell can be ready in November 2005. The interior will follow. (53-05/54-05)
