Igreja de São Sebastião da Pedreira

The Church of Saint Sebastian or Igreja de São Sebastião da Pedreira was built in the 17th century under the reign of John IV of Portugal. The church suffered the impact of the 1755 earthquake, but the structure survived without major integral damage.

The image of San Sebastián de Narbona is depicted on a tile panel on one of the walls of the church. The interior is richly decorated with stucco decorations and traditional Portuguese azulejos (tiles).

Lisbon Central Mosque

The construction of this mosque was completed in 1985, after about 7 years of construction. The mosque has both a dome and a minaret on its exterior, and a reception hall, a prayer hall, and an auditorium in the interior. Its architects were António Maria Braga and João Paulo Conceição.
