Klinte Church

Klinte Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.

About this building

The construction of the church began in the 13th century, in a Romanesque style. However, work carried out in the following century replaced the Romanesque choir, nave and tower with Gothic ones.

A few original stained glass window panes have survived in the eastern window of the choir. They are believed to have been made by the same craftsman as those at Alskog Church.

Its interior conserves a 15th rood cross, and a 17th century altarpiece and baptismal font.
