Chapel Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Joncet

The chapel of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Joncet is located in Serdinya-Joncet, in Occitania. It was built between 1643 and 1646 by Joan-Pere Mas. With its stone and shale walls and slate roof, the building is typical of the architecture of the region. The western facade is surmounted by a bell tower with two arches, and inside, there is a seventeenth century wooden altarpiece.

The chapel of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Joncet is located in Serdinya-Joncet, in Occitania. It was built between 1643 and 1646 by Joan-Pere Mas, in accordance with the wish of his father Joan-Francesch Mas, as he and his family were spared from the plague that raged in the region.

With its stone and shale walls and slate roof, the building is typical of the architecture of the region. The western facade is surmounted by a bell tower with two arches, while the interior nave is vaulted with a very accentuated profile. Inside, there is interesting furniture, including a seventeenth century wooden altarpiece which was painted in 1680.

Church of Saint-André d'Olette

The Church of Saint-André d'Olette is located in Olette-Evol in Occitania. The early church dates back to Romanesque times (12th century). It was then dedicated to the Blessed Virgin. Enlarged in the sixteenth century, it is composed of a three bay nave that is framed by two side aisles and separated from the nave by arches. The nave is extended by a square choir with a flat chevet. Among the furniture, many objects are classified as Historical Monuments.

Monastery of Sant Martí del Canigó

This monastery was founded thanks to Count Guifré II of Cerdanya, who built a church dedicated to Saint Martin. The church was consecrated in 1009. It remained active until it was secularised in 1782 and in the following years it fell into ruin and was plundered. The monastic complex has been occupied by the Communauté des Béatitudes since 1988.

Church of San Vincens

The San Vicens Church, dedicated to Saint Vincent, is located in Mantet, in Occitania, in the department of Pyrénées Orientales. It is a Romanesque church that was built at the beginning of the 12th century. It consists of a simple vaulted nave in a cradle, covered in thick slates. It has a semicircular apse surmounted by an arcaded steeple. The church, anchored in the rock, forms, with the houses of the village, a harmonious architectural ensemble.
