The Igreja Paroquial de Santa Joana Princesa is a 20th century church built after the parish redevelopment of Lisbon.
The first church dedicated to the Blessed Joana of Portugal (daughter of Afonso V of Portugal) was founded in Lisbon in the 18th century, in what is now the church of the Heart of Jesus. The present minimalist Church of Santa Joana Princess was built in 1998 further north than the original church.
The Igreja de São João de Deus is a church built in 1952 in the Areeiro district of Lisbon and dedicated to St. John of God.
The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima was the first modernist church built in Lisbon, designed by architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro. It was also the first church built after the proclamation of the Republic in Portugal in 1910.
The Church of Saint Sebastian or Igreja de São Sebastião da Pedreira was built in the 17th century under the reign of John IV of Portugal. The church suffered the impact of the 1755 earthquake, but the structure survived without major integral damage.
