Chiesa dei Santi Marcellino e Festo, Naples

The Church of Saint Marcellinus and Saint Festus is a Roman catholic church that used to be part of a monastic complex. The former monastery buildings are now reused for other purposes.

About this building

The church has a Latin cross plan with a single nave and a majolica-covered dome. In 1907, one of the wings destined for housing was converted into premises for the Federico II University of Naples. In 1932, other rooms were converted to house the Museum of Palaeontology of Naples.
