Beautiful modern church, a "refodome" with a tower. Replaced an earlier church building from 1956. This church building was put into use on December 25, 1983. Number of seats: 365. The former organ was placed in this church building that had been overhauled and expanded in the meantime. In 1998, the organ was replaced by a Griffioen organ. In 2008, a Johannus organ was placed in front of this organ, type Monarke Bach Sonata M40836. It was taken over from the Restored Reformed Church in Waarder-Driebruggen

According to the original plan, this mosque would be part of a collaborative project between the then Amsterdam district De Baarsjes , the Turkish-Islamic organization Milli Görüş and housing corporation Het Oosten (now merged into Stadgenoot ). In addition to a mosque, the plan also included the construction of homes and commercial space.

It was founded in 1794 by French Cistercians fleeing the ban on monastic life in France. The priory was elevated to abbey status in the first half of the 19th century and began its brewing activities in 1836.
