Its construction was decided after the Concordat of 1801, by Napoleon, and lasted from 1808 to 1818. It then took the name of Saint-Napoleon, to then become Saint-Louis (for Louis XVIII) then Saint-Vincent, its current name.

St. Vincent's Cathedral dates from the 11th century, although a first church may have been built as early as the 4th and 5th centuries on a former Gallo-Roman temple. The present cathedral was built over a long period between 1090 and 1522 in Romanesque (1090-1150) and then Gothic (1220-1522) style. The cathedral lost its title during the French Revolution.

The Catholic Cathedral of Athens was built between 1853 and 1865. It is dedicated to Dionysius the Areopagite, judge at the Areopagus Court of Athens, who lived in the first century and converted to Christianity. The building is constructed in the neo-Renaissance style according to the plans of the German architect Leo von Klenze, under the direction of Lysandre Kaftanzoglou. The façade facing the street is inspired by St. Boniface Abbey in Munich.

2007 100th anniversary of the completion of construction and consecration (October 14/22, 1907) of Jurbarkas St. Trinity Church. The history of the Jurbarkas Catholic Church began in 1430, when the first wooden church was built by the care of Bishop Mikalojus DzieSgovicius. The oldest information about this church is found in Bishop Motiejus Valancius in 1848. published in "Samogitian, Diocese". The Catholic parish of Jurbarkas was formed a little later - in 1502. Queen Bonn ordered Deputy John to build a new church. To maintain her servants and school, Bona allocated 6 acres of land. There was also a rectory near the church. Jurbarkas school in 1557. founded by the pastor Martynas Hermanavicius.

The Catholic Church of Jasmuiza dates back to 1815. The church remained without a tower until 1926 when it was almost completely rebuilt. Only the high altar, sculptures and paintings representing Saint George were preserved from the interior of the previous church, and the rest of the material was bought back.
