The church of Our Lady of the Assumption is a fortified parish church. The parish already existed at the end of the 11th century. In 1467, the church was fortified and surrounded by a moat. The bell tower also dates from the 15th century.

The Church of Our Lady of the Chapel (Kapellekerk) was founded in the 12th century as a chapel of a Benedictine priory and was transformed into a church in the 13th century. Damaged by a fire in 1475, the church was rebuilt in Flamboyant Gothic and got its baroque tower at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. From 1989 to 1996, the church underwent major restoration work. Today the Chapel Church is the parish church of the Polish Catholic community in Brussels.

The Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is not situated in a lake but in a bay connected to the Adriatic Sea. It was first built in the 15th century by Orthodox monks, along with the artificial island it stands on. Today's church was built by the Venetians in 1630. With its reconstruction, the church went from Orthodoxy to Roman Catholicism.

The Church of Our Lady of the Snows is the largest Marian shrine in Serbia. According to legend, on the site of the present church there was a medieval Christian place of worship dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which was demolished by the Turks in 1526, who built a mosque in its place. In 1716, with the battle of Petrovaradin, the Habsburg forces inflicted a major defeat on the Ottomans. The Church of Our Lady of the Snows was then built on the site of the battle to celebrate this victory attributed to the Virgin Mary. The present neo-gothic church was built in 1881 according to the design of the Zagreb architect Herman Bole.

The Church of Our Lady of the Snows was founded in 1347 by Emperor Charles IV as part of a monastery and as a future coronation temple. In the 15th century, the construction was interrupted by the Hussite wars. The church was only completed in 1625.
