Isolated in the Normandy countryside, this chapel is reminiscent of a hermitage. It has remained intact over the centuries, just as its master imagined it would when it was first constructed in around 1140. It is of Norman style. In the 13th century it was decorated with a painted mural that taught the life of Jesus and the Virgin, the murder of Thomas Beckett and an attack on a castle by neighboring peasants. Time has damaged it but there are still 100 m² of pictorial scenes as well as two beautiful recumbents of the thirteenth century.

This chapel belonged to the Brotherhood of the Holy Name of Jesus, nicknamed "the Bourras" because of the habit in cruets worn by their members. The chapel was built in 1597. Seized during the Revolution, it is disused, serves as a warehouse for objects from various churches and became a revolutionary court in 1793. It was classified as a historical monument in 1931.

The chapel of Notre-Dame de la Brèche (Our lady of the breach) was built in 1599, after the Protestants in 1568, during the second war of religion: a breach having been opened in the city walls by the artillery of Louis de Bourbon-Condé, the Chartrains, under the protection of a statue of Notre-Dame de la Porte Drouaise, built and defended a barricade which prevented the capture of the city. The chapel was rebuilt in 1843 to serve the parish of the lower town, the neighbouring Saint-André church having been disused during the Revolution.
