Salona began its history centuries before the birth of Christ as an important port and market town on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea. The first formation in the city surely thanks Greek merchants and colonists. It came under Roman rule probably in 78 or 77. B.C. Gaius Julius Caesar elevated it to the level of a Roman colony. It then developed into the administrative, economic and financial center of Illyricum and a large port city, comparable to the then most important cities on the Adriatic coast: Aquileia and Ravenna.

Crosspoint is the own building, in 's-Gravendeel, of the Evangelical Community Ezra for all weekday activities. For the Sunday celebrations of this church community, they rented the Cultural Center "De Drie Lelies" in Puttershoek. Since 2018, services are held in their own building.

The Church of Scotland has been active in London since the time of James VI, King of Scots, who became King James I of England in 1603. There is some evidence that courtiers of the King who had followed him from Scotland worshipped in a chapel in the precincts of the old Whitehall Palace. This site became known as Scotland Yard and subsequently housed the original offices of the Metropolitan Police. The current building dates from 1909, but Crown Court Church has been on this site since 1719.

The Cultural Centre La Asunción is housed in the former Franciscan convent of La Encarnación. The religious order remained in the complex until 1843. After several uses, the Provincial Council decided to use the building as the site of the Cultural Centre La Asunción in 1982.
