The church with the ecclesionym Agios Loukas is located on the southern edge of the original settlement area. The church is a relatively new construction, completed in 1951. After 1974, the church was converted into a mosque and used as such until about 2008/2009. At that time, a new mosque building was completed to the south of the church. After that, the building was left to its own devices.

The Erdal church was first consecrated in 1995 and was considered a temporary church at that time. In 2003, the plans for phase 2 of the construction were presented, drawn up by the architect Jostein Tveit. The construction was completed between 2005 and 2006.

The Church of Sira, also known as the Eresfjord Church, is an octagonal church dating from 1869 and built of wood. Until about 1709, a stave church probably stood here, but because of its very poor condition, it was replaced by a new wooden church in the shape of a cross. Throughout the 19th century, this church was too small and in need of repair. In 1868-1869 the octagonal church was erected in its place.

The Ermida de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe in Raposeira is one of the oldest chapels in the Algarve. It was founded in the 14th century as a chapel of pilgrimage, after the cult of the Black Virgin of Guadalupe became widespread in Portugal. It was remodelled in the 15th century, possibly with the sponsorship of Prince Henry the Navigator, who came here to pray. The chapel is classified as a National Monument.

The hermitage of the Virgen del Puerto was built between 1716 and 1718 at the personal request of Antonio de Salcedo y Aguirre, the first Marquis of Vadillo, who was then the corregidor (magistrate) of Madrid. The hermitage was completely destroyed during the Civil War during the defence of Madrid and the current building is a reconstruction from 1945.
