Nepi Cathedral was built on the site once occupied by the pagan temple dedicated to Jupiter. A first cult building was already present in the 5th century. Plundered and destroyed in 568 during the wars between the Lombards and the Byzantines, it was reopened in the 9th century. Enlarged and embellished in the 11th and 12th centuries, it was enriched at that time by the splendid crypt. On 2nd December 1798, the building was set on fire by Napoleon's troops. It was rebuilt again between 1818 and 1840.

The church of Nes is a long wooden church dating from 1836. It was built according to a standard design by Hans Ditlev Franciscus Linstow. In 1909, the church was extensively rebuilt and received, among other things, a new tower, a porch and a sacristy. The present church replaced a 14th-century stave church. The pulpit, the baptismal font and the three bells of the present church come from the moat church.

The Nes church is a long church dating from 1860. The church is built in brick. Stylistically, it is a neo-Romanesque church with strong historical characteristics. The architect was P. H. Holtermann. In Nestangen, there are ruins of a stone church dating from around 1100 which was enlarged into a cruciform church in 1697 and burnt down in 1854.

The Nes church is a brick church built in the 12th century and probably rebuilt in the middle of the 13th century. The church was given a transept to the north in 1698 and to the south in 1704. The interior was heavily modified due to several large fires and extensive restorations (1888, 1933, 1960).
