Replaced a church from the nineteenth century. Three-aisled basilica church with pseudotransept (transept) in traditionalist forms, strongly influenced by Romanesque. The originally designed front tower was not built. Instead, a small bell pylon stands on the front facade. The wide central nave is based on the concept of the people's church from the early twentieth century.

Roman Catholic church building protected exclusively BECAUSE of the 18th century PULPIT, TWO ALTARS with parts of the communion bench dating from around 1700 and an ORGAN, originating from the predecessor of the former St. Petrus Banden church, designed in 1856 by Th. Molkenboer and completely demolished in 1969 and replaced by the current church building. NB The pulpit and the communion bench have been repositioned in the new church in a modified design. The pulpit is now placed against the wall, whereby the stairs, originally led to the rear along a pillar, have been turned to the front and the guards, previously behind the left open door, are now positioned in front of the left dungeon door. After restoration, five panels of the communion bench were reused in the main altar in the original order and frame. Four angel figures, originally placed between the panels against pilasters, have been incorporated separately in a side altar.

In the 13th century, the parish of St. Peter was located in Oud-Diemen, north of the core of present-day Diemen. The church was located at the cemetery Gedenk te Sterven . After the Reformation, it was moved to Overdiemen. First in a barn, later in a clandestine church that was dedicated to St. Peter Banden (Banden=boeien).

The current St. Petrus' Bandenkerk was completed in 1897, and replaced a church from the thirteenth century. The church is considered a very important work in the late oeuvre of Dr. Pierre Cuypers (1827 - 1921). This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.

Interesting neo-Gothic church with tower in the church village of Loo.

Replaced a 15th century church. Neo-Gothic church with tower. Destroyed by fire on 30 June 1961. Initially replaced by an emergency church. Secondly replaced by the current modern church. Some architectural details of the burnt down church can also be found in the (smaller) St. Clemenskerk in Nuenen, also by architect Weber. The church in Nuenen still exists and also has a beautiful large cemetery.

The parish church has a polygonal floor plan. The saddle roofs are covered with slates. The church is built entirely in Nivelsteiner sandstone. Three-aisled neo-Romanesque church. Crucifix church with a main nave with two transepts, a crossing, two side aisles, a main apse and two secondary apses. Square tower with tent roof and with decorative brickwork between the four floors and at the eaves. Decorative brickwork in the form of arched friezes. Tower placed in the front facade of the church, with entrance in a portal with saddle roof. Arched niche above the main entrance under the tower, supported by two pilasters, each with a capital and basement. Against the south side of the tower the oval staircase tower. Round arched windows with stained glass in the side aisles, in the end gables transept and in the choir curve.

In the period from 1648 until the French period, the Hofkerk was used by the Protestants. A period of decline for the building. The Romanesque tower and part of the church (two bays of the nave) collapsed in 1650. The tower was not rebuilt and the church was shortened by a few meters. The bell house was built in 1669 to replace the tower, in which a monumental bell from 1367 is hung. In 1798, the church was put back into use by the Catholics. Major restoration in 1888-1893 in neo-Gothic style by C. Franssen. The two bays that were lost in 1650 were rebuilt, and a new west facade was built. In almost two centuries of construction and restoration, the church grew into a beautifully decorated church.

The church was built in the garden of the rectory. Its predecessor was a neo-Gothic basilica from 1880 , designed by Peter Bekkers , to which the 15th-century tower was attached. This was demolished in 1927 , but the tower was preserved. The current church is a large church in eclectic style and has a number of remarkable dome towers, including a somewhat higher tower on the cross-passage. The architect of this church was Hubert van Groenendael . It is seen as a transition between neo-Gothic and the Amsterdam School . The vault of the church is painted with scenes, including the Works of Mercy. There are stained glass windows depicting the Apostles.
