Interesting modern church building with small tower.

The Reformed Church of Hoogeveen was built in 1904 by the Groningen architects K. and G. Hoekzema and stands on the foundation of the old church. The dates 1834 and 1886 in the facade refer to the Secession and the Doleantie respectively. Interesting hall church with a gable tower, built in an eclectic style, with references to Romanesque. Internally provided with galleries. The portal was recently changed and the church became free (see images below).

The church in Hopen is a long church dating from 1892. The long church replaced an octagonal wooden church from 1749. At Christmas 1842, lightning struck and destroyed the tower and damaged the building "significantly". Due to lack of maintenance, the building from the 1880s was so dilapidated and "airy" that it could not be repaired. In 1890, the government gave permission to demolish the 1749 building and build a new one on the same plot.

Hopperstad stavkirke was built around the year 1130, and it stands on its original site. The church is owned by the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments which funded its restoration (1885-1891).

The cemetery has around 420 tombstones surrounded by a stone wall, reconstructed in December 2018 by ESJF. The lines marking the position of the original wall are visible as some foundations still remain. The majority of the tombstones are standing in well-maintained. However, around two thirds of the perimeter fence was found to be damaged, partially collapsed, or missing.

The church in Hörby dates from the middle of the 12th century with Carl Stone Master as builder. At the end of the 19th century, the church was in a deplorable state and on the initiative of the vicar Lundegård (father of the author Axel Lundegård and the artist Justus Lundegård), a restoration of the pulpit, the ornaments of the altar and the baptismal font was undertaken in 1888. On 20 December 1896, the new church, built in the neo-Gothic style, was completed.

Hordabø Church, formerly Bø Church, is a long church from 1875. There was a church on the site since the Middle Ages which was probably a stave church, but it is not known when it was built and when it was demolished again. When the church is mentioned again in 1686, it is a wooden church with a tower. The builder Jon Jonsen Alvær built the present church according to the designs of the architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The church underwent extensive restoration in 1949.

The Horg church, which was consecrated in 1893, is a monumental cruciform church built according to the designs of the architect Carl Johan Bergström. It is characterized by a neo-Gothic and Swiss style and is very well preserved both inside and out.

The cemetery has about 20 tombstones that have been preserved. The site was fenced by ESJF in November 2019.
